With the warm spring weather, your makeup should look a little more natural and fresh. Check out the latest makeup trends for spring, including gold eye shadow and pretty pink lip gloss.
Every spring, pink is a popular color in fashion and that holds true for makeup too. Pink makeup is very flirty and fun. Play with baby pink eye shadows, cheek color and lip gloss for a feminine look. For a pin-up girl look, add black eyeliner on top, extending a little beyond the corner of your eyes and flared upward. Curl your lashes and add two coats of mascara.
Choose makeup colors inspired by nature--soft brown, subtle green and pale peach. These shades are wonderful choices, no matter your skin tone. For a spring day, use a brown eye shadow complemented with green liner. Add peach blush to the apples of your cheeks and finish off the look with a dab of neutral lip gloss.
Red lips do not look as great on ladies with dark or olive skin tones. Rather, the look is best for women with fair skin or those who are looking for a more ‘vintage’ look. This can be best described in the picture above where the birdcage veil, defined eyes, and dark hair complement the bold lips perfectly.
Here’s what gown designer Melissa Sweet said about her makeup inspiration for her spring catwalk collection:
“Color is always our inspiration when we start designing a collection, and the makeup is the finishing touch. This season we were inspired by an old-Hollywood glamour feeling, so we thought a bold red lip paired with soft straight hair would feel pretty and modern. A strong lip color complements a bride’s vibrant and healthy glow—and looks amazing in photographs.”
